Toddler Tailgate

Chris decided to take this years football season to the next level with the creation of "Toddler Tailgate". It started with Chris decididng to provide a Buckeye themed treat, a cookie with a frosting Brutus he purchased at the grocery store, the Friday before the first football game. Along with this treat he also brought in posters from all fall/winter sports, a Buckeye balloon and Lucas' favorite the TBDBITL (The Best Damn Band In The Land) cd. This evoloved into a Buckeye themed treat every Friday before game day Saturdays. Although there are many Buckeye themed treats you can buy we decided to make our own in an effort to try to stay a little healthier. Chris and I had many fun Thursday nights making Buckeye themed treats! In turned we learned all about using Block O shaped cake pans, exactly how many drops of black food coloring it takes to make a perfect grey color in cool whip, and how little we need to be doing to have a fun date night! At the end of the season Chris arranged the toddler room to have a field trip on the stadium floor of the Horseshoe which is OSU football stadium. I was able to leave work for a bit and meet the class at the stadium and what a site to see-10 2-3 year olds running around on the floor of a stadium that seats 105,000 people! The kids had a blast and the dads in the groups were in heaven. Our day care director was along on the field trip and notified us that the "preschool teachers are fighting over the Rogers family" for who gets Lucas in their class when he moves into the preschool room! We are very certain that they are fighting over wanting Lucas as he is such a great kid and not due to the fact that his dad is an Assistant Athletic Director at OSU which comes with some fun perks!! Here are a few pictures of the filed trip from Toddler tailgate!
Toddlers shaking the gates anxious to get in...too funny!

Kids and parents running to the end zone

Mom got to tackle Lucas on the 50 yard line and then got some "loves"!!

Lucas entire class with teachers!!

Lucas was totally wiped after all of his running around so he is needing some daddy time!

We are all looking forward to an Ohio State win over Oregon State in the Rose Bowl on January 1st. Go Bucks!!
